"Fletcher Estates (Harlescott) Ltd v SoS Environment and another; Newell and others v SoS Environment and another" HL 17 February 2000. Appellants both owners of land near Shrewsbury that had been subject to a compulsory purchase order for construction of the A49 Shrewsbury bypass. Owners applied for certificates of appropriate alternative development and SoS issued negative certificates. Owners alleged error and appealed. Appeal dismissed.
