Addresses some of the findings and issues raised in the "Paradox of Service Charges" (L146764) (known as Loughborough Report 2008) and sets out the action that is being taken by RICS and its steering group to improve management standards. Assesses how the industry has as responded to the RICS "Service Charges in Commercial Property: Code of Practice" (L133990), which came into force in April 2007. RICS's response includes publication of two information papers "Sinking funds, reserve funds and depreciation charges"(L146895) and "Service charges and tenant alterations"(L146898).
