Looks at dating the age and construction of English housing through the extensive use of photographs and illustrations. Part 1 sets out different age bands from pre-1850 to the present day and defines the different types of houses such as detached, semi-detached and terraced. Part 2 considers factors which can be used to date a house including dwelling size, tenure, construction type, condition and location.
